Top 10 Current Soccer Players

10. Robert Lewandowski

Lewandowski is the most forgotten about striker in the world. Even though he is the undisputed leader of Bayern Munich, the biggest club in Germany, he still doesn't quite get the recognition from football media that he deserves after scoring 29 goals last year. Well he'll get it from me at least.

Honorable Mentions: Phillipe Coutinho, Antoine Griezman, Eden Hazard, Manuel Neuer, Sergio Ramos, Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne, David De Gea

9. Mo Salah

The leading goal scorer in the premier league last season led Liverpool to the Champions League Final and is hoping for more success this year.

8. N'golo Kante

When it comes to defensive midfielders there are none better than Kante. In the World Cup he made sure star Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard had zero effect for Belgium against France. Kante will take your best midfielder and shut them down.

7. Luis Suarez

The goal producing forward from Uruguay just stepped it up after the departure of Neymar with 29 goals and 13 assists. With a full season of Phillipe Coutinho don't expect this kind of production again but expect him to be the most reliable source of offense on Barcelona.

6. Paul Pogba

This midfielder screams swagger on and off the pitch. And he's got the game to back it all up. Few in the world can come close to matching his pace and his two way play akin to Luka Modric makes him nearly unstoppable on the pitch.

5. Sergio Aguero

Sergio Aguero caught a ton of flack for disappearing in the World Cup for Argentina and deservedly so. But when he puts on that Man City kit he's a completely different person. Expect another 20 goals and League Title for the young Argentine superstar.

4. Luka Modric

The Croatian superstar, fresh off the Golden Ball in the World Cup, is now the sole leader on Real Madrid with Cristiano Ronaldo's departure. He'll pick up a couple more goals this season because of Ronaldo's loss along with a slightly more balanced attack.

3. Neymar

The new butt of all flopping jokes comes in at number 3. It may have been a dissapointing exit from the World Cup but Neymar's astounding footwork and dual-threat (scoring and assisting) ability don't knock him too far down the list at all. If he can take PSG on a Champions League run then maybe he'll be higher on the list come next year.

2. Lionel Messi

The Barca legend returns for another season full of highlight dribbles and insane goals. the only reason the Argentinian isn't number 1 is because of the number 1's superior ability in clutch moments compared to Messi's.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo's move to Juventus will most likely lead to less goals this season as Serie A teams are less prone to running up the score then La Liga teams. But still expect 20 plus goals and in the clutchest of moments for CR7 to show up bigger than anyone.
